Our privacy policy describes the ways in which we collect, store, use and protect your personal information and it is important for you to review this privacy policy. By “personal information”, we mean information that can be associated with a specific person and can be used to identify that person.

We collect personal information from you when you use damasrose.shop or its related websites and services (“Site”) (including, without limitation, when you buy and sell items or when you telephone or email our customer support team). By providing us with your personal information, you expressly consent to us processing your personal information in accordance with the terms of our privacy policy.

Collection of your personal information

As part of your registration on or use of the Site, you will be asked to provide us with certain personal information, such as your name, shipping address, email address and/or telephone number and other similar information as well as some additional information about you such as your date of birth or other identifying information.

Additionally, in order for us to verify your identity, we may need to request from you valid proof of identification (e.g. in the form of a copy of your passport, resident’s visa or permit, national ID card and/or driver’s license).

We will also need to collect selected financial information from you, such as your credit card and/or bank account details.

Note: The card details will NOT be stored, sold, shared, rented or leased to any third parties.

You will need to input this financial information into the “My Account” section of the Site.

We use this financial information for billing purposes and for the fulfillment of your orders.

Following your registration on the Site, you should not post any personal information (including any financial information) anywhere on the Site other than on the My Account section of the Site.

We will collect transactional information and purchase history based on your activities using the Site (such as buying and selling items).

Please note that we may use your Internet protocol (or IP) address (which is a unique number assigned to your computer server or your Internet service provider (or ISP)) to analyse user trends and improve the administration of the Site.

We may also collect information about your computer (for example, browser type) and navigation information (for example, the pages you visit on the Site) along with the times that you access the Site.

Finally, we may collect additional information from or about you in other ways not specifically described here. For example, we may collect information related to your contact with our customer support team or store results when you respond to a survey.

We may also collect feedback ratings and other comments relating to your use of the Site.

Where we aggregate personal information for statistical purposes, such aggregated personal information shall be anonymized.

Use of your personal information

We use your personal information to:

• process, deliver and support your orders, including contacting you about your order by email, telephone or WhatsApp;
• create and manage your account, your saved addresses and your wishlist;
• answer the messages you send us through the Contact page, by email or on WhatsApp;
• send you news and offers, only if you tick the newsletter box or sign up to the newsletter; every email lets you unsubscribe;
• prevent fraud and misuse of the Site, and meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations in the United Arab Emirates;
• understand how the Site is used so that we can improve it.

Use of your and other users’ personal information

We do not sell, rent or lease your personal information. We share it only as far as needed to serve you:

• with our delivery partners, who receive your name, delivery address and telephone number to deliver your order;
• with payment providers, when you pay online, who process your payment details under their own security standards;
• with the companies that host the Site and send our emails, under confidentiality;
• with public authorities when UAE law requires it.

If you write a product review, your first name and your review are shown on the Site. Do not include other people’s personal information in reviews or messages.

Accessing and reviewing your personal information

You can see and change your name, email address, password and addresses at any time in My Account, and see your orders under Orders.

You may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by writing to customers@damasrose.ae or sending a WhatsApp message to +971 55 500 2005. We will reply within 30 days. We keep order and invoice records for as long as UAE law requires, even if you close your account.

Third party website links

The Site links to other websites and apps, such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, WhatsApp and Google Maps. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices; their own privacy policies apply when you use them.

Cookies

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. The Site uses:

• necessary cookies that keep your bag, your checkout and your sign-in working (for example woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart, wp_woocommerce_session and wordpress_logged_in);
• your browser’s storage to remember your wishlist and recently viewed products on your device;
• analytics cookies, only if we add a measurement service, in which case we will ask for your consent first.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the bag and checkout do not work without the necessary cookies.

Sanctioned countries

The services will NOT be provided to any of the OFAC (sanctioned) countries in accordance with the law of UAE.

Age requirement

As a condition of your use of this Website, you warrant that you are at least 18 years of age.
